For many years the UCEA Convention has served as an excellent opportunity for universities to advertise positions and recruit candidates for educational leadership and policy positions. UCEA is formalizing and extending these opportunities further this year. In addition to providing space for flyers, UCEA has developed several additional opportunities for candidate recruitment as well as for scholars seeking to enhance their careers or seek new positions.
I would like to draw your attention to two specific opportunities that UCEA member institutions may wish to take advantage of:
· Career Connections Job Fair
· Private Interview Room Sessions
The Career Connections Job Fair will take place during three adjacent sessions on Thursday, November 15, from 2:00pm-6:00pm in the Denver 3 Room of the Denver City Marriott. The career connections job fair provides opportunities for university representatives to share information on position openings, job descriptions, and university cultures with potential job candidates. Universities can participate in this event by reserving a table during one of the two session slots. Participation in this event is first come first serve, with UCEA institutions provided the opportunity to pre-reserve from now through October 1, 2012. After that date all institutions are welcome to reserve a table.
Private Interview Space will be available throughout the 2012 UCEA Convention. Universities can reserve the space in 30-minute intervals. Space is limited and participation is first come first serve, with UCEA institutions provided the opportunity to pre-reserve from October 22, 2012 through November 2, 2012. All institutions are welcome to reserve this space on site at the UCEA Registration desk.
If you are interested in taking advantage of either of these opportunities, please contact Ms. Lieve Pitts at UCEA headquarters at firstname.lastname@example.org.
