Expectations

GSC members play a pivotal role in graduate student outreach, development, and support. We plan and execute programming throughout the year, including our two signature events held annually at the UCEA Convention: the Graduate Student Summit (GSS) and the Researcher Development Program (RDP) Symposium. Additionally, we support student transitions from graduate school into the academic and practitioner job markets, while fostering a community of emerging scholars in educational leadership, policy, and evaluation.

Eligibility

To be considered, you must be:

  • Enrolled as a graduate student within a UCEA member institution
  • Able to commit to attending the next two consecutive UCEA Annual Conventions and signature events (GSS and RDP) during the GSC service tenure (i.e. 2025 and 2026 annual conventions)
  • Thoughtful, critically conscious, equity-oriented, and engaged as a leader who is willing to dedicate at least 3-5 hours a month to support the GSC's efforts.

Apply

Graduate students who are interested in applying for the position must submit the following materials:

  • Current curriculum vitae
  • A one-page statement of interest
  • Letter of reference from your advisor or your institution’s Plenum Session Representative
