Jackson Scholars Workshop

Jackson Scholars Workshop

The Jackson Scholars Network (JSN) annually hosts workshops and professional development programming in conjunction with the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Meeting to support graduate scholars throughout their doctoral and early career journeys. These events bring together Jackson Scholars, faculty mentors, and educational leadership researchers to foster meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and community-building.

Through peer-to-peer discussions, facilitated roundtables, and networking opportunities, participants engage in conversations related to research methodologies, dissertation development, grant and publication writing, job market preparation, and navigating academic careers. Workshops also provide opportunities for scholars to connect with peers who share similar research interests and professional goals.

JSN programming is grounded in a commitment to cultivating supportive academic communities and creating spaces where emerging scholars can share experiences, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional networks. These annual gatherings at AERA reflect the Network’s ongoing dedication to collaboration, mentorship, professional growth, and scholar development across the field of educational leadership.
